&quot; You are not wrong, who deem<br /> That my days have been a dream;&quot; - Edgar Allen Poe

Once upon a poem dreary
That made eyes so red and teary
Over a very famous tale without the slightest hint of gore
Poe’s poor poem that he’d been savin
About a dark and evil craven
That turned out to be a raven
Ravin’ about his lost Lenore
Who kept repeating a single phrase
Only that and nothing more

Ah, distinctly I read later
How he’d thought the prognosticator
Was just some weird instigator
To do such knocking on his door
Yet when he let him enter
He did not fly to the center
And when perched was the preventer
Of his hoping for Lenore
Truly dark this tale of yore
Where the raven keeps repeating “nevermore”

And this true love tale so tragic
Had a hint of ancient magic
And it thrilled me filled me with fantastic images
I had never seen before
And to keep from ere repeating
How his heart just sat there beating
I jumped back with my fear retreating
And I barred my chamber door
Merely this and nothing more

And although I could go deeper
About this poem and it’s old keeper
And about our poor old Edgar’s
Radiant maiden named Lenore
I would rather here be ending
This poor parody by sending
My apologies for rending
Such a poem of timeless lore
Such a rare a radiant poem
Of his lost true love Lenore
Into pieces on my chamber floor
This I say and nothing more.

&quot;You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother&rsquo;s eye.&quot; (Matthew 7:5) and &quot;All the poeple who supported slavery were free, all the people who support abortion live...&quot;

Hilarious! I loved the Raven poem and most poems by Poe but this was great. I've never heard of paraody poems. Fantastic!
