The crowd is whooping and hollering,
Two minutes, and then it's the end.
Should I run up and play offense?
Or should I stay back and defend?
I decided to go for the gold.
The ball is kicked to the right.
I steadied my breathing for running,And then my feet took up flight.
The ball is kicked all around,
Until it flies up in the air.
Then it came falling and falling,
And bounced off my sweaty wet hair.
The goalie is jumping and flailing,
The ball is out of control.
Quickly, cleanly, and thoroughly,
It hits the back net of the goal.
