I know of a girl who was never heard.
Her words attached to the wings of a bird,
A voice in the wind that was carried away,
A whisper in the breeze that fell astray.

Her loneliness in the dark of the day
A plead for help she’d never say,
Words in her throat all caught up,
Because of her fear of speaking up.

A sad, sad soul who has no confidence
So scared to say what she meant.
To break the shell that was so immense
A fear to escape out of that shallow tent.

Who would listen to her muffled cries?
Would you even know that she’s alive?
If you listened, I’d be surprised
Who really knew that she was near by?

What to do until the day she can speak?
She’ll sit in back of the class I’m sure
Or express her feelings in poem’s keep
Because This is coming from the girl who’ll never be heard

Really, really good. I'm favoriting this. :) Your rhythm is wonderful and so is your vocabulary! The only criticism I have is the "This" in the last line shouldn't be capitalized, but I'm sure it was just a typo. I'd very much appreciate it if you found the time to comment on and rate one of my poems :)
