On All Hallow's Eve
I sit and stare
While the stars weave
A story to share
It is not black
But a midnight blue
And I hear a pack
The sound sticks to me like glue
The moon sits there
Up in the sky
It is so pretty
I'd hate to say goodbye
The bats in the sky
Those pumpkins on the ground
There they cry
And they so round
The black cats
So dark, indeed
And the children helping
Their suger need
A hard place to stay
When it gets very dark
Please move on your way
Before the demons make thier mark
The doorbell rings
And they shout "Trick or Treat!"
And then they go home
To eat, eat, eat
And the moon sits there
Watching over us
Waiting for them to wear
And go to sleep
