Four Birds and a Dog
“I’m singin’ the rhythm here and I’m a wantin' to be heard”
says the little brown finch, the teensy tiny bird
“Who wants to listen to you when they can listen to me?”
says a delicate red cardinal up in a big oak tree.
“IM MAKIN THE SONGS ROUND HERE AND IM A WANTIN TO SHOUT!!”
says the crow but the blue jay dove and knocked him in the snout.
“I might not be the best singer around here but I'm in charge of you!”
says the blue bird, he was true to his word and sang till he was even more blue
“I'm the one in charge of the noise!” says the little dog as he ran out
“And if you all don’t get out of here right quick I’ll give you something to fuss about!”
