English Literature: Romeo and Rosaline?
Have you ever wondered?
Sat down and really pondered
Why Juliet and Paris never worked out?
Or how, instead Romeo and Juliet came about?
Or why Rosaline wouldn't go
With the ever-pleading Romeo?
Or what about Heathcliffe and Cathy?
Bronte just didn't want them to be happy?
Now, I wouldn't lie
But, for you and I
Isn't it just better if we didn't know?
Just accept the facts and let the matter go?
But then again...Have you ever wondered?
Sat down and really pondered
Why Romeo and Juliet sounds much more fine
than plain old Romeo and Rosaline?
