Invisibly Noticeable
I am invisible.
I try not to stand out.
I don’t want eyes on me
Just let me fade-out
I may not be stylish or talkative
But I’m comfortable as I am
I’m normal, plain, and invisible
That’s just who I am
Even though I’m like this
There’s one pair of eyes I want on me
You, who I’ve had a crush on since forever
Whose voice fills me up with glee
I can never get your attention
You’re always staring at pretty girls
While I’m always behind your back in class
I even got beaten by someone who resembles a squirrel!
I try to think on how to make you notice me
But my plans are never carried out
You escape my grasp before I can speak
And leave me sitting down with a pout
I pass you through the halls
And I try to say hi
But you’re always surrounded by friends
It’s hard to come by
I decided to become a stand-out
Someone who can catch your eye
Just you wait and see tomorrow
I’m going to make you sigh
I dressed like the girls with style
And styled my hair like a pop star
I may be stepping out of my comfort zone
But at least I’ll be in your sonar
That day you finally talked to me
You said I looked great
I wasn’t invisible anymore to you
I can already see my fate
You said I was pretty but you liked me before
I stood out more when I was invisible to you
All this time, I didn’t need to change
Because I found out, to you, I had this invisible value
