The Game
Thump, thump, thump, my heart starts to beat slower and slower. I can feel my life slowly slipping away from me. It starts at my toes, slowly going numb. My feet get tingly, my calves start to twitch. The feeling in my finger tips start to fade away. I try to move my foot, I can’t. This feeling of needles, start to climb up my thighs. It isn’t the sort of needle feeling that hurts; it is just there a feeling like your body is being sunk into a thick fog of darkness. The numbness crawls through my knuckles and into my wrists. It starts moving quicker and slithers up into my hips; I can’t move my legs or hands. Its pace quickens as if death is beckoning me into his presences. The feeling drags my arms and torso deeper into the darkness. My vision starts to blur as even my thoughts slip into the darkness. Then I thought to myself, who will claim me first, my parents, or this eternal darkness. I know, I’ll make it a game. Now let see who wins.
