elegy of Grandma Hilda Mae

I remember when she walked down stairs
And cooked a giant breakfast
For kings and queens
When we came over

Waking up with mix smells of
Pancakes, eggs
Grapes, bread, bacon, and sausage
She didn’t want anybody to help her while
She makes breakfast and dinner,
She cooked the food, clean up, give scraps to the dogs out side
And wash and put up the dishes

While her long hair sway side to side
Inhaling the aroma around
The room
She was in a coma for 3days
When we final told the doc
To pull the
Plug
I thought a hole
Was in my
Heart
