Darkness vs. Light
Sometimes we fall into a whirling black hole,
we get imprisoned in evil,
hung on sin,
and shot down by the devil.
The cannonball of guilt is aimed right at us,
the bomb of regret fires right beside us,
and an avalanche of darkness roars behind us.
You might not see it through the beaming darkness,
you might not hear it through the blaring of temptation in your ear,
and you might not feel it through the fear that is deep in your body,
God is there.
The firework of forgiveness overshoots,
the light through the ground overpowers,
and the ocean of love exceeds all disaster.
The faith in God is a contagious cure,
the outbursts of blessings fill all with joy,
and the rainbows of mercy spring through the sky.
