Life without Mom or Dad
My life was perfect before they came
They came in the night like ghosts inflicting pain
They were bloody and mean
As they came from the stream
They took mama away from me and Tommy
He screamed and screamed for daddy and mommy
He was too careless and young to go on his own
So they took us away though we moaned and groaned
My other brother was old enough
To work because he was brave and tough
So Tommy and I sat sad and hungry
With out any happiness or luxury
We really wanted to get out of here
So now we just sit and wait in fear
Of what might happen in the future
And maybe our next adventure
We finally found out where our parents went
They went to a house to hid in a vent
They knew we’d son would be found
So they hid us in the ‘underground’
We are now still there and out of reach
We still remember papa’s speech
Now we are safe all Tommy, John, and me
All safe in harmony
