You say you're controlled
By a demon inside.
But it's you who makes the choice,
It's you who needes to try.
Defy your impulses
Break past the harm
Instead of raking
Fingernails across your arm.
Speak like a poet
Sing out your fears
Defeat the poison
That once flooded your ears.
Smack away the chances
That hate puts down.
Give up your blade,
And build a new crown.
Create a kingdom
For you to rule and love.
Who gives you power?
It's you. It's enough.
