A Palestinian girl
My name is Aarya
I am only six
I have a broken life
that no one can fix
My friends are all gone
and my family has died
One night hasn't gone by
where I haven't cried
I'm all alone
as I wander the cracked streets
hoping someone
will spare me something to eat
I live in Gaza
Where they're fighting for the "Holy land"
If it's so holy
why do we kill for its command?
Why can't we share
the land with everyone
Ending this bloodbath
that I wish had never begun
My name is Aarya
and six I will stay
Death is coming for me,
I cannot live another day.
