The Man in The Maze Part I
In my mind, there is a maze
A labyrinth large and mysterious
each section different, unique
this is what I show to others
but hiding within
there is a cage
that contains a beast
that once roamed free
the chaos made
the havoc wreaked
caused him to be locked away
this maze was built to shroud his cell
so no one may ever find him
but I know this maze
I know where he hides
for I am the one what built his cell
and the maze to hide it from sight
for I too am trapped by his chains
forever doomed to guard his jail
I know too well
the damage done
the pain he caused
weaker minds
they see his eyes
and go mad like him
but my mind is not so weak
I have grown strong against his tricks
whispering to set him free
I can glance at him
for a moment only
and there he is
or rather
There I am.
