My heart once belonged to someone
unbroken and new
fresh out of the box
until i gave it to you
You returned it with
missing pieces, scratches, dents
and bruised
unloved and mistaken
abused and confused
I gave you the chance
to understand me, yet
I never got you
You said all the right things made all the right moves
with all the good times
I felt loved and amused
But when i said something wrong my heart was left bruised
But through the hard times,
with many that i've delt
my heart was in your hands
until it finally fell
