Twinkling lights in the distance
Lights that shine so bright
Sprinkled across the skies by gods...

They light the way
in the dark

They lead me to you

Everyone who broke my heart
were like northern stars
pointing me to you...

We lie in the sand
and listen to the waves
as we look at the stars
and count their infinite number...

...just like my infinite love for you.

The author's comments:
I have been writing poetry since the fourth grade when i discovered that poetry existed. I immediately fell in love with writing. My poems started out being childish and foolish, to where they are now. Poetry is not something that I think about when I write. I don't control the poem. The poem controls me. I just follow it's heartbeat. Poetry is my passion. I love it. I hope you love it, too.
