Highs and Lows
Cold
Dead rock
Alpine zone.
Life still clings on
Beautiful mountains
Raw elements of earth
Delicate, easy to mar
Spirit of the river lingers
The clouds are just a cushion below.
Mountains stare at you, standing at their feet.
Look to the east, differences discrete.
Land here is the flattest thing ever.
“I like to see where I’m going.”
Used to be a great big sea,
Now it’s badlands and farms.
The prairies are great,
Simplistic state.
Extensive
Farmland
Dry
Diversity is beautiful Don’t turn Earth dead wasteland.
protect it. into a Protect it.

Brathwaite Secondary School).
