Can't taste it, can't smell it, can't feel or see it
Yet forever we struggle just to BE it.
We give up our ambitions, that boundless "could be"
For that vague, indefinite delusion of "should be".
How queer to have a standard that all must strive for!--
When meeting it means forget what we're alive for...
