One Smile
The bright morning sun shone through my window.
And my eyes opened wide,
Awaiting the adventures of the new day.
I felt beautiful;
I felt vivacious;
No power in the world could stop me.
There was a sweet scent in the air;
A naturally pink tint in my cheeks.
My long lost smile had found it’s way back.
I took a deep breath,
Closed my eyes,
And whispered thank you.
I knew no one could hear me.
But I also knew that it would reach the unknown man.
The man who taught me how to smile, by showing me his.
