Lovely Lights
Lackluster and uninspired all I want to do is hide.
Crawl into my bed and sink away from the world as I pull the covers up over my head and suddenly, just like that, the sunlight from the two large windows of the room my brother and I shared for nine years wraps its love around me.
Once unaware of anything evil, the worst kind of hut in the world came from a black and purple bruise or bloody knee. We run and race to grow up and face our fates before we take the time to cherish who we want to be and the dreams we so desperately wish to achieve.
Being told to commit another four years of my life to another one specific place terrifies me and excites me all at the same time. The thought of exploring another world slowly making it all my own keeps me awake late at night, haunting the mess of a mind I can proudly call mine.
