It was just a matter of time
A matter of time
It was all good and it was bad.
I tried so hard to forget you
Times were happy but mostly sad.
It was just a matter of time
Before I really got over you
I was almost there, I was almost in love
You were crying so hard, you didn’t know what to do
It was just a matter of time
That you took to hold me off for your selfish desires
With those guys just to break my heart
But truthfully you’re nothing but a liar
They didn’t love you like I did
They couldn’t even give you the world
All they did was talk s*** to their friends
To them you were just another girl
No, but to me you’re not just another girl
You’re my life, you’re my everything
And for that last moment
My heart might not ever sing
It was just a matter of time
Before you came back
I was waiting the whole time
I knew you would come crying back
