I am from the tan, one story house on Bowman Road,

to playing on the green swing set in the back yard,

and the blue trampoline laying on the five acres land.
From my ragged, brown bear from the hospital,

to my blood red blanket I slept with every night.
From fighting with my little sister, Olivia,

To giving her a hug and a kiss every night before bed.

I am from my grandpa playing his guitar,

while Olivia and I sing, “Do you Believe In Magic,”

to us singing on stage in the Variety Show.
From tumbling in the Halloween Parade, on the cold black top,

to dancing on the big stage,

to cheering on the Pilots from the sidelines.

and swimming in the pool during a race.
I am from “Don’t make me count to three,”

to “Do you want a time out?”

I am from falling down the basement stairs,

and breaking my right arm,

to cracking my head open on the pool gutter,

and spraining my ankles at gymnastics.
From the falls off the beam,

to the bloody rips and tears from the bar on my hand,

and the sore muscles from head to toe.
I am from the tragic injuries one minute,

to healed the next.

I am from the sleepovers with Ally,

to watching scary movies all night long.
From the crunch of the goldfish crackers,

to the spill of the salty popcorn,

and always having a fear of Michael Myers.

I am from Mom and Dad,

who taught me to never give up and always keep trying,

to the lessons taught and tears shed.
From my Dad’s willpower to try to be the best at everything,

to my Mom always doing anything to make my dreams come true.
