"All the worlds a stage. Men and women merely actors" (Shakespeare).

Twelve people decide the fate of a case,
Whether it’s a man’s life or their wallet.
One of the twelve has a beautiful face,
While one of the twelve eats too much chocolate.
One of the twelve appears to have no grace,
While one of the twelve seems to miss the office.
One of the twelve keeps looking into space,
While one of the twelve has many hair losses.
One of the twelve looks to be a mix race,
While one of the twelve keeps talking to bosses.
One of the twelve is wearing all black lace,
While one of the twelve talks about their causes.
One of the twelve is part of an air base,
While one of the twelve keeps reading the clauses.
These people are connected by this case,
Deciding if they can share the breathing space,
Or if this victim is out of place.

Really interesting! Like you said, I never usually think about the back stories of jury members. The poem flows really well and is easy to read, great job.

My intention for this poem was to get any readers to really think about what a jury is and does. Personally I find it mind bottling that twelve people with nothing in common, people who may even hate one another, have to put away their differences and personal feelings to decide a case just by the evidence presented to them. I'm glad you found it thought provoking.

Wow. Very thought provoking. I also like how you make the ryhmes coincide with the meanings. You did that very well. Can I ask what was your intention of this    poem? If you feel comfortable sharing that is.
