I always wanted
To be able to look down
At the way you flaunted
A superior crown

Still I looked above
To see the shine fade
The crown unworthy of
My truth betrayed

The innocents inside bled
Red formed the eyes
The leader once led
Burned to lies

Now a pile of dust
Swept under pain
Of lies and distrust
Nothing to gain

Yet you always felt the pull of the crown
More then the love of those who bowed down

Its funny how you can have a role model when your young who you think is perfect and one day you realize who they really are. soon you no longer want to be them, follow them, believe in them, for who you thought they were is all an allusion. All they ever cared about was themselves.
