More Than A Game
Adrenaline pumping through my veins,
The taste of vomit contaminates my mouth.
The strength of ten men grows inside,
To break these unseen chains,
The cool night now seems hot,
Sweat and turf intoxicate the air,
While knots form deep within the stomach.
This feeling cannot be bought.
The animal inside comes alive,
Determination clears the mind.
Soon after that ball is kicked,
The first hit fuels your drive.
Hands tremble and shake before the fights,
That start with those Friday Night Lights.
