Defeat
Everything you said was so sweet.
Your candy covered lies kept me at your feet.
Suffered slowly still not wanting to leave,
waiting for you to believe.
Willing to wait forever and a day.
You acted as though you didn't feel the same,
down played your emotions,
and once I realized that I fled.
I started running to find that feeling of being free.
I don't want to do this anymore, be this anymore.
you say leaving is easy, but if that was true I wouldn't be here.
I ran, in a circle, right back into your arms, dropped down to your feet.
I am now admitting defeat.
