The Mistake
Just the mistake of being alive.
Just the mistake of having to hide inside.
Just the mistake of being a teen.
Just the mistake of wanting to dream.
Nothing left but some crushed feelings
and a broken heart.
She questions if God's there,
while her beliefs fall apart.
Just the mistake of feeling love.
Just the mistake of being young.
Just the mistake of trying to trust.
Just the mistake of losing her must.
Nothing left but some loneliness
and wishes.
She wonders what she could have ever done right.
But as she looks back now on what
life gave her to take,
Only thing she believes is
She’s the mistake.
