A blink of Irish stepping shoes
Marinated through checkerboard splinters
Rise and shine fringes
The stuff of flamenco dancers
who leap: one two three
triple step
Bagel chips for tea
They snap like pen caps
A tinderbox tinkling, perhaps
Clear specks of sugar on Apple Jacks
Porcelain pickets on Irish freckles
Tears for the poet.
Falls like a sham
