Children of the Wind
Serenity…
Peace…
Quiet…
Safe…
The ground is almost as if I am sitting on an ocean of green…
The birds are singing,
Almost as if they are Greek Sirens…
Water flows,
Beating at its own heart of its sandy ribs
The wind moving with grace and deep, quiet, masculinity
Almost as if to show that it can be a wind chime as of its own.
Slate grey splatters the sky,
Paint against a soft blue wall.
The grasshoppers play their own symphony
With that of the birds’
It plays with the grass,
Like a child
It combs its cold fingers
Through my hair like a soothing hand
Caressing my face,
The heat gently beats down from it.
Serenity…
Peace…
Quiet…
Safe…
Pure beauty…
