The End
The news came so sudden,
The end was near.
Thousands in the streets,
Praying.
Their God had deserted them.
Different Creeds together as one,
A common purpose now.
Days passed,
Riots began.
Fire rose up from the ground,
Like vines of death
Taking life as they grew.
Darkness overcame the streets,
Innocents touched by the Angel of Death.
Thousands turned to hundreds,
Still Praying.
Cities lay in rubble.
No one prayed,
Backs had been turned on Faith.
Death was rampant.
The end was no longer feared,
It had already come.
