The Game
Your vile deceit and pretense
Casts shadows on my name
Cry out to pristine angels for
I've beat you at your game.
I conquered you in daylight
I've vanquished you in dreams
Release your hold upon my soul
That's splitting at the seams
You drew such twisted pleasure
From whispers in my ear
You locked all doors, you were assured
Of everlasting fear
You blundered as you gathered
Fields of flowers that had died
You did not see the strength in me
To realize you had lied
I've stripped you of your pretense
Your vile deceit is gone
For now I have the upper hand
And you shall be my pawn.
