Words live forever
I now find myself adoring
that to which I am usually ignoring
no one notices the simple things
but paper and pen can give you wings
if I die with a 1,000 kings treasures
my jewels will be taken and my gold lost forever
but if I die with prose at my side
and the shadows of poems glisten in my eyes
I will be forever immortalized
I wish to be remembered
not only as a man
but as a soul who's tongue flowed
like the ever moving Egyptian sand
I like every other man
do not want to fade from this land
but all men die and this is our fate
but words live forever, they outdate
