Who am I?

how can I be who you want me to be
when it's so far out of reach?
I just want to be me
but who could I be?
How could I know
when everytime I try to be me
Everyone says it's wrong
So I try to be
who they want me to be
But that has made me forget
what makes me, me
so that makes what you want me to be
even farther out of reach
