I Was Content Today

I was content today.
We both had different shoes than we used to wear, and we both commented on them as soon as we sat down on the bench.
You scared all of those birds away and by the end of the night I was just another one of them.
I wonder if fate has anything in store for "us"...or for anyone really.
Fate is a weird concept to rely on.
