Just Another Smile
Her bright smug grinning face Stares back at me White teeth laughing With a gleam Brown silky hair Pulled up into a tight Ballerina bun With one loose lonely strand Hanging on the side of her Young pale face Freckles grouped around Her small pointed nose Her unblinking eyes Gaze into my soul She wants to move Reach out to me But she is forever chained in a Paper prison Never to escape Her mouth yearns to say something But her lips are still like The rest of her frozen figure Before me For she is Just another gleaming smile Just another memory Lost in the endless maze Of my wandering mind Just another picture In my photo album
