Eyes locked in fear
as forbidden words are spoken.
Another sick pleasure to a numb heart.
Hands lose grip to the past
left with scars carved by guilty burns.
Stones weighing down every thought
buried deep into a meshed brain.
Steps missing each beat
falling behind the sounds.
No longer going the right way
on a one way path.
Dreaming of what shouldn’t be.
