I Remember”
I remember children laughing and optimistic feeling.
I remember the days of a child looking at the world knowing that it was good.
I remember the months of purity and happy family.
I remember a loving dad and a loving mom.
I remember the years of holidays of happiness and fun.
Now I remember all the hatred and greed that feeds this cruel world that I thought was good.
Now I remember the sorrow that drowns the happiness.
But I still remember the decade of my childhood knowing that there is still good left in this world from my eyes.
I remember from these eyes I see the world that god created for us.
Now I remember the love that he gave us.
I will remember the past, present, and future that God gave me.
I will remember to trust him through the begging and the end.
