Mistakes

A mistake I made, I know it’s true,
As I sit in the corner thinking about you.
I look to the sky, crying out loud,
Hoping to see you face in the clouds.

Many things are running through my head,
As I think of the actions and words I’ve said.
I know I hurt you, that much remains clear,
I can see the water trickling down your face, Is that a tear?

I never knew I had someone like you,
Now I’ve hurt you, and don’t know what to do.
The only thing, is to give you time,
And hope that in the end you are still mine.

When you first told me that you like me,
I was shocked for that I couldn’t foresee.
I had the same feelings for you,
Knowing that in the end, you’d be there for me, too!

The sun shines on your face, the wind in your hair,
As I walk across N Main St, knowing that your there.
I run to and place my arms around your neck,
And plant on your cheek a loving but gentle peck.

All I ask is for one more chance,
You won’t regret this, for my heart will dance.
I won’t hurt you anymore,
That much I can promise. I know for sure.

Love never had such a strong meaning, until you,
And now that you’re going to leave, I don’t know what to do.
So I all ask is for forgiveness, the chance to grow again.
But in the end it is up to you, my beloved friend.

Your time spent with me I value,
But now I fear with all my heart, I’ve lost you?
I know that I hurt you and I am sorry,
So please forgive me, so I don’t need to worry.
