My Favorite of the Day
Daylight is not my favorite of the day
I wish it away more often than not
In truth I long that Twilight wrap me,
Cover me in its warmth.
Please let the air be warm
To distract me from what it brings me;
I’ve something empty.
It controls me and my senses
Coordinating the strings to make me
A masochist.
Pride has rooted within me
Another day checked off:
I’ve yet to cry thus far.
I wish time still more often than not
Then Twilight brings it again.
I’ve a void in the pit of my stomach.
Others do tend to favor Daylight
A sunny closing where the moon belongs
I tend to dislike disappointing;
This twilight has brought me
[Hope].
