The Person My Parents Raised

When I was little I would go out to play
We would bake cookies all day
We would take vacations and enjoy each other
I would go shopping with my Mother
My parents took me to the bay
We would shoot hoops in the driveway
Every Sunday we would go to church
When my dog was lost they’d help me search
They taught me to love God
They taught me to be kind
They taught me to live life
They taught me to not mind
I was taught me not to be fazed
This is the person my parents raised
