The Madman
There’s a madman in my mirror,
Yes, yes, I’m sure of it now-
It all makes sense suddenly-the voices!
Oh, how could I’ve overlooked this, how?
Yes- he has bloodshot eyes rimmed with yellow
And a face that came straight from Hell
And a mangled mop on his head that he calls hair
And scars that could make a mute yell.
And could you believe it- that I was locked up,
With a madman still on the run?
Please I beg you, kill him any which way…
Strangle him with a rope or shoot him with a gun!
But be cautious, yes be
Frightened of that death-loving conceited a**,
Because the second you glance towards the mirror,
All you will see is glass.
But when you turn,
Yes, when you’ve thunk me crazed,
He’ll be back, I tell you, to mock humanity,
His devilishness unfazed.
