Innocence
childhood
believe in what you are told.
love God, you'll go to heaven.
be nice to your brother,
and Santa will pay a visit Christmas Eve.
you grow older,
situations grow harder,
questions harder to answer.
you no longer listen to your parents,
you know that fairytales only exist in Disney movies,
that life isn't fair,
and you don't always get the happy ending.
but you still believe.
in right.
in wrong.
but above all,
in love.
not because someone told you to.
not because you know its real.
but because you have to.
because if love isnt real,
then whats worth living for?
