Growing Up
The skin on my bones still the same
The marks on my body still familiar
Still the same girl with the same name
My life changes as it looks unfamiliar
Years pass by as we all grow up
We start not liking the same things
We start not liking the same people
We start not liking each other
Does time change us?
Do we all stay the same?
Or do we all change?
These questions, we all face
Our lives grow like a flower in the ground
Either sprouting upwards or not growing at all
Some of us sit still as we feel drowned
Waiting until it's our time to rise up or to fall

I created this slam poem based around growing up and how all of us either feel like we have changed or stayed the exact same. Your relationships change, your interests, etc.
