Honey and the silencer
Honey and the silencer
The doorbell rings. It's late. Through the vents, I hear a harsh metallic whisper followed by a loud thump. I hear my mom coming up the stairs. I can tell it's her by her footsteps. She knocks on my door.
"Honey, are you okay?" she asks.
The door opens. My mom never calls me honey.
