rainy days
french vanilla creamer
suitcase wheels on uneven asphalt
scalding hotel hot cocoa
and a breakfast that is mediocre at best
cramped seats
cozy coats
and a travel blanket filled with our
slow, happy memories
and yet
for me
nothing will ever be better
than the taste of
french vanilla creamer
in scalding hotel hot cocoa
and you.
