Close Your Eyes and Wonder
I close my eyes and wonder
What it would be like,
To run around in lush, green grass
With not a fear in sight.
I wonder about the Crusaders,
Who always seemed to fight.
Were they always thinking
What they did was right?
I think about the farmers,
And chickens, cows, and geese.
I think about young travelers,
Who dream of going to Greece.
I dream about the little things
That never seem to end,
And I don’t worry about what’s around
Each and every bend.
So close your eyes and wonder
What it would be like,
To run around in lush, green grass
With not a fear in sight.
