A little bumped; a little bruised,
This heart has gone through much abuse.
You do this to me, don't you see?
The way you laugh; the way you tease
I've waited for you much too long,
and now it's time to say 'so-long'
but you still don't get it; still don't see
how entirely hard this is for me.
I've always loved you, always will
but the question is still:
after all these years, have you been the one waiting?
