Lovely Dreams
You see an ocean of grass lay below lazy grey skies.
You feel the freezing cold air bite you like a hungry wolf.
You hear the rattle and thunder of cars as if they scream into your ears.
You taste a bitterness flavor assault your mouth as if it wants to hurt you.
You smell the faint trace of rain trapped in the ground like a prisoner in a cell.
You imagine yourself surrounded by warmth and friends, but you know it is as real as Santa.
You imagine the cruel loneliness and pain around you finally leave your side.
You smell the nearby pecan farm kindly greet your nose riding of the rain.
You taste the unforgiving bitterness be replaced by oranges.
You hear the chirping birds compose a lovely lullaby.
You feel the smooth dirt beneath your skin.
You see the bright sunny day, once again.
