Goodbye Dumb Homework
I would choose never to have homework over doing homework for ten dollars an hour. When doing homework I feel drained or bored out of my mind, it's not a good feeling and I would instead fall from the moon and back then do homework. Homework is the hell of everyone's school days, and ten dollars an hour is not worth it… At all.
I have a job and I make fifteen dollars an hour, I go after school until seven-thirty pm, it's not much I don't even like my job but anything is better than doing homework, the only time homework is acceptable is during school/class hours so you can get out of doing other things for the rest of class.
After doing homework I feel so tired that I could sleep for decades until my alarm for school goes off, whenever I wake up from my slumber I ask myself why do I do it? Why do I go to school for dumb homework when I could be at home sleeping in, playing video games, or even going to work, but SNAP! I come back to reality where I go to school, get home, do homework, and go to work.
I grab my backpack every morning, Monday through Friday, I walk out of my door every day hoping for a new door to open and start a new chapter in my school life, hoping there will be no homework when I get there and all I see is homework, homework, homework, but in my mind its “Death, Death, Death.” waiting to be assigned by only the worst of teacher, and to be completed by the best of students, (not me.)
There are probably few people in Arrowhead Union High School who would take the offer of ten dollars an hour for homework, I don't know anyone who would because they could be making double that at a normal nine-five job. But for the people who do, “I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework” - Lily Tomlin.
