An Ode To Autumn
Autumn is the season when leaves that look like thousands of sunsets sway in the crisp breeze, smoky bonfires fill the air with mysterious fog, and warm spices fill cozy homes with a sense of peace.
Autumn is the season when small critters jump and frolic in piles of leaves preparing for the winter, when migrating birds take long flights in V’s to places far away, and when abundance graces the fields of farmers and family dinner tables.
Autumn is the season for long walks in light jackets and leaves that crunch with each step.
Autumn, like all beautiful things, must come to an end. Soon the land becomes frozen, trees become skeletons, and a thick blanket of quiet snow covers the Earth.
Autumn has passed and winter has come.

I redeveloped a past piece to make this one. It was fun to write and helped me to appreciate the season even more.
